Flow ve sportu
FLOW in sport - about building positive motivation in sport and in life.
Flow ve sportu - Product description
The book deals with the still relatively new and difficult to grasp phenomenon of flow in the field of sport. This seems important for several reasons. In addition to the fact that higher performance across all sporting disciplines can be expected when experiencing a peak experience, this state also has a significant contribution to satisfaction with life in general.
This publication was written at the Faculty of Sport Studies, Masaryk University.
Based on the results of a large number of studies, the publication presents this issue in as much detail as possible. In some places it looks at individual studies critically, while the authors also try to outline their own perspective. They do not rely only on research from the psychological environment, but also from the environment of (neuro)physiology and biochemistry.
The interviews with professional athletes, to whom the individual researches can be applied, are an added value for the lay reader. The book is intended not only for coaches, parents of young athletes or professional athletes, but for practically everyone who engages in physical activity at least recreationally. After reading the book, it can bring even more enjoyment.
For parents of young athletes, it can become a good tool not only in their children's journey towards better performance on the field or athletic oval, but above all towards a well-lived life.
Reviews
This book engagingly discusses the phenomenon of flow - the special state of our inner world. The authors are well aware of the fundamental importance of flow in the world of sport, and it is not only for this reason that they look at it primarily through this lens. The text is based on a number of expert studies, yet is very readable and understandable. However, the authors do not just quote, they also come up with constructive criticism and their own insights, leading the reader to think more deeply. In the book, they have managed to present a complex subject in a way that is attractive to the general public.
