The active ingredient inosine consists of hypoxanthine (purine) and the simple sugar (carbohydrate) ribose. This active ingredient has a direct effect on a number of processes that positively influence physical performance. Inosine increases the ability to transport oxygen to the muscle, thereby temporarily reducing fatigue and increasing performance. Inosine is a precursor for the formation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate/inosine triphosphate) - one of the basic sources of energy (for cells).
