About the Author

Jebavý Radim

Graduated from UK FTVS, major in coaching, specialization in athletics. Since 1998, he has been working as an assistant at the Department of Athletics of the UK FTVS. He has been involved in sports since his schooldays. He started with hockey and then switched to athletics. He was active in the Queen's sport until 2002 (mostly throwing events). Now he is more involved in coaching in the athletics section of VSC FTVS Praha, he is also a fitness coach of the women's softball team, swimmers of VSC Praha, hockey players of Kladno and coach of Bootcamp.

Hojka Vladimír

Born in 1978. He graduated in physical education - mathematics and athletics coaching specialization from Charles University in Prague. As an athlete, he was involved in football (goalkeeper) and athletics (decathlon). Currently he works at UK FT VS as an assistant professor at the athletics department. Since 2001 he has been working in the athletics club ASK Slavia Prague as a youth coach with a focus on multidisciplinary events. In 2010-2013 he worked as a fitness coach and with the men's national basketball team. Since 2010 he has been working as a fitness coach at BK Děčín. He is interested in biomechanics and kinesiology of rebounding. He works as a lecturer in coaching courses mainly for the field of fitness training in sports games.

Kaplan Aleš

Born in 1968. He is a graduate of physical education - geography and specialization in athletics coaching at Charles University in Prague. During his sports career he was involved in athletics (sprint disciplines) and basketball. Currently, both work as an assistant professor at the Department of Athletics at UK FTVS. Since 1994 he has worked as a youth coach in athletic clubs AC Turnov and later USK Prague. In 2000 he started working as a fitness coach of basketball players of USK Praha, where he still works. He is a member of the implementation team of the women's national basketball team (since 2010). He also worked as a fitness coach of AC Sparta Prague football players (2003-2009) and the Czech national football team (2008-2009, 2010-2012). As a fitness trainer, he cooperated and cooperates in individual training with athletes in various sports. He lectures in coaching courses of various qualification levels on fitness preparation and preparation of athletes after injury. He has authored and co-authored several books, professional and scientific articles focusing on fitness preparation and especially on speed skills. He holds an IAAF lecturer course certificate.
