Stretching on Anatomical Foundations (3rd updated edition) - Product description
The authors of the world's bestseller have selected and arranged 83 stretching exercises from the feet to the neck according to the individual muscle groups, not only for athletes, trainers and rehabilitation workers, but also for everyone who spends a long time sitting or standing. So the new, expanded edition also includes a chapter with programs to increase everyday mobility and flexibility to help with muscle soreness, joint stiffness, cramps, and even lowering blood sugar. There are 23 special programs for a variety of athletes including track and field athletes, gymnasts, endurance fans, and collegiate sports players. They will help them recover after exercise and maximise the effectiveness of their movement.
For complete understanding, the authors have supplemented each exercise with visually appealing anatomical illustrations of the muscles involved. These, along with the accompanying text, provide information on the safe performance of the exercise and its effects. It also offers possible variations of the exercises according to the individual's current condition and ability, from beginner to advanced.
