Review:

I expected boredom. Just a list of foods that will do my body good if I eat them. I was misled because the book is written in a very readable way. The reader learns a lot of new things about foods that are extremely good for our health. In the book you will learn many interesting things about known and lesser known foods. I like that the author writes "poetically" about food. I must appreciate that she is dedicated to children. Children receive the basics of nutrition already in the prenatal period, i.e. in mom's tummy. Because what mom eats and drinks influences the future human being. Children learn through play. The author offers a division of fruits and vegetables according to colour. She offers to make a super rainbow out of healthy food. Children will appreciate it.

The introduction to each food includes a story about the superfood. This is followed by a listing of their superpowers. After that, enjoy how they can help us. Each superpower has negatives alongside its positives, so here too we need to highlight what to look out for. For example, dried blueberries are hard (which I didn't know). The end of the chapter always ends with "What else don't you know?". The book contains a sample diet, debunks myths about superfoods, a glossary of terms and abbreviations - not too many of them, which means that the author speaks to the reader in human language. About the Author:

Malinowská Kristýna

It has been a few years since the author left the premises of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno, from which she proudly took her diploma in nutritionist. During her studies, she gained practical experience in catering operations, in inpatient wards of hospitals and also in nutritional counselling centres.

From that point on, her work focused mainly on private nutrition consulting. Her client portfolio consists mostly of people dissatisfied with their weight, people struggling with food allergies or intolerances, or parents dealing with their children's health problems.

She has also supplemented her journey by giving talks and working with school cafeterias. The work associated with helping people gives her great pleasure and meaning.
