Beta carotene is a natural form of carotenoid obtained from the alga Dunaliella salina. Beta carotene can be converted into vitamin A by the body as needed. Dunaliella salina is an orange microalgae found in highly saline environments such as salt fields or salt lakes.
Beta carotene is a type of pigment found naturally in plants and yellow or red-orange fruits and vegetables. Our bodies convert this substance into vitamin A to ensure adequate levels. Ingredients in 1 capsule: capsule shell (hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), a blend of carotenes and carotenoids from the alga Dunaliella salina (providing Beta Carotene 15 mg, equivalent to 2500 mcg of vitamin A (313% of the reference intake value for the vitamin). Based on alfalfa, spirulina and bilberry.
