Health - compensatory exercises - Product description

Health-compensatory or health-balancing exercises are defined as a set of exercises that focus on individual areas of the musculoskeletal system (joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles), and thus have a targeted effect on improving the health of the individual, especially the state of the musculoskeletal system. Health-compensatory exercises have an irreplaceable role in primary and secondary prevention of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system, therefore we include them in all age categories.

The aim of the book is to create an idea of the development of health-compensatory programs related to specific health impairments of the musculoskeletal system. The different segments and areas of the musculoskeletal system are functionally related, yet we present specific areas of the spine and joints separately.

The book interconnects two main parts - a theoretical part and a practical part, in which you will find examples of individual exercises (from the simplest to moderate and very difficult) applicable also for the creation of individual movement programs. The inclusion of health-compensatory exercises will not only create the basic prerequisite for achieving higher performance at school, work and sport, but also contribute to a healthy lifestyle. The 127 instructional drawings contribute to the high didactic value and practicality of the publication.

The book is intended for the professional public. The aim is to introduce not only trainers, fitness centre practitioners, physical and health physical education teachers, but also athletes. It is suitable as a teaching material for schools and centres aimed at educating the medical and pedagogical population. For the field of physiotherapy, the text is informative. The authors have extensive experience with the topic, which they apply not only at the Faculty of Physical Therapy but also at other higher education institutions.
