ALAVIS™ MSM for horses contains an ultra-pure form of MSM in combination with proprietary collagens COLLYSS™ and CARTIDYSS™.

ALAVIS™ MSM for horses has proven analgesic (pain relieving) and antiphlogistic (anti-inflammatory) effects. It reduces the production of mediators of inflammation, helps improve physical condition, strengthens ligaments and tendons, protects stressed joints and improves their function. ALAVIS™ MSM has been found to improve wound healing and is therefore recommended for use in post-traumatic and post-surgical conditions. ALAVIS™ MSM for horses also contributes to the breakdown of damaged joint tissue due to its antioxidant and detoxifying effects. It can also be successfully used in allergy medicine to alleviate allergic symptoms. It also promotes the regeneration of the coat and hoof horn.

ALAVIS™ MSM for horses can also be administered prophylactically when there is no inflammation in the body. The substances contained in ALAVIS™ MSM for horses:

MSM - Methylsulfonylmethane MSM - Methylsulfonylmethane is a substance containing organically bound sulphur that acts to strengthen ligaments and tendons, reduce inflammation and pain, and to regenerate and relax muscles. It also has strong antioxidant and other positive effects and is a unique source of sulphur compounds that have positive effects in the body, especially in damaged articular cartilage. Sulphur is involved in the formation of collagen and glucosamines - the basic building blocks of articular cartilage and connective tissues.

Collyss™ - the highest quality type I collagen - is found in heavily loaded structures such as tendons and connective cartilage. It is tensile-resistant and therefore very important for the strength of tendons and thus for the strengthening of the musculoskeletal system. This collagen is also found in bones and skin. Collyss® type I collagen is a patented purified collagen hydrolysate derived from the cartilage of marine fish.

CARTIDYSS™ - the highest quality type II collagen - maintains the shape of cartilage and prevents deformation. Type II collagen is a component of hyaline and elastic cartilage and is resistant under pressure. Cartidyss® is a purified collagen hydrolysate derived from ray cartilage.
