About the Author
Mach Ivan
As a senior research and development scientist, he has worked in many departments in the chemical and food industries. Since the 1970s he has been involved in nutritional consulting and professional sports and dietetic journalism. He is the author of many titles, translations, professional publications and lectures on nutrition, and has been the nutrition editor of the professional magazine Musclee&Fitness since its inception. In the 1980s he served as chairman of the Committee of the Bodybuilding Federation of the Czechoslovak Sports Council, as a judge, coach and manager of top athletes. Now he is a lecturer of a number of educational courses, an expert guarantor of the accredited course Nutris(r) and lectures on nutrition at the 1st Medical Faculty of the UK, FSS of Masaryk University in Brno and the University of Palestra. He is the President of the Alliance of Nutrition Consultants of the Czech Republic and has been appointed as a court expert in the field of nutrition.
