Pavel Kolář
Prof. PaedDr. Pavel Kolář, Ph.D. graduated in Physical Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University in Prague. In 2012 he was appointed professor at Charles University. He is mainly interested in movement pathology of children. He is the author of the diagnostic and therapeutic concept of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), based on developmental kinesiology, which he also applies in his Movement Medicine Centres. He also lectures on it at universities and in courses at home and around the world. In addition, he is a sports medicine practitioner: he is credited with the diagnosis and treatment of many top athletes and teams. He works with several foundations and charities. Since 1998, he has been a permanent member of presidential medical panels. In 2003, Václav Havel awarded him the President's Personal Medal for Merit to the State for his teaching and scientific activities, and in 2007 he received the State Medal for Merit to the State in the field of education and science from Václav Klaus. He has three children with his wife Michaela.
