UC-II Collagen® Signal Polypetide

UC-II® Undenatured Type II Collagen is a patented form of collagen with undenatured (native) Type II collagen acting as a signaling molecule. A small amount (40 mg/day) is believed to act by inducing a process known as oral tolerance, which eventually engages the body's cells in a self-repair (regenerative process). Oral tolerance is the process that allows the body to distinguish between bioactive and useful substances (signaling molecules), such as bioactive peptides or phytonutrients, and essential nutrients that are poisoned and grafted, or potentially harmful foreign invaders.
