About the Author
Stoppani Jim
A research scientist at the prestigious John B. Pierce and the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University, where he investigated the effect of exercise and nutrition on gene regulation in skeletal muscle. In 2002, he was awarded the Exercise Science Award as a Gatorade Beginning Investigator. He is currently a scientific editor for Musclee&Fitness and Flex magazines published by Weider Publications in Woodlands Hills, California, USA. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Associa tion (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). He received his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Connecticut in 2000.
