Antioxidant Formula is a dietary supplement containing a blend of very powerful antioxidants, especially L-glutathione, grape seed extract, a blend of beta carotenes from seaweed, L-cysteine, lutein and vitamins with minerals. These substances act synergistically and are primarily aimed at repairing damage caused by excessive oxidative stress.

What is oxidative stress?
The body is constantly undergoing a process of metabolism. Proteins, fats and carbohydrates, among others, are converted into energy. This process is called the Citrate Cycle and results in the production of cellular energy, or ATP, which enables us to function. A side effect of this process is the formation of so-called free radicals, reactive oxygen species that damage cells.
Under normal circumstances, the body is able to neutralise these substances on its own, but if their formation is excessive (due to excessive physical or mental stress, UV radiation, or external toxic influences such as air pollution, etc.) or ageing, so-called oxidative stress occurs. This is an imbalance between the formation of free radicals and the body's ability to suppress the activity of these harmful substances. The body uses so-called super antioxidants, especially superoxide dismutase and others, to help the body do this. If the body is overstressed, e.g. due to the strain of sports, stress or if the body is ageing, the production of these super-antioxidants is insufficient and it is worth supplementing.
